Illinois WINGS
WINGS (Women Involved in Nurturing, Giving, Sharing) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit Illinois Corporation whose mission is to bring top-quality breast care to men and women of Illinois regardless of their ability to pay.
The mission of WINGS is to provide comprehensive breast health care services to men and women in Illinois regardless of their ability to pay. The services funded include physicians' fees, outpatient medication and hospital charges.
Illinois WINGS is the first affiliate of WINGS. WINGS in San Antonio Texas was founded by Terri Jones and Dr. Kathryn Safford in October of 1999. Very successful and now moving into their seventh year, we in Illinois have followed their lead in helping to save lives. WINGS will meet the needs of its patients through the provision of diagnostic testing, surgery, chemotherapy expenses, as well as services not traditionally offered -- but sorely needed -- such as outpatient medication and psychosocial counseling.
